You showed us that we are truly on the right path with our new trade fair concept. The new trade fair concept - open, clearly arranged and modern - was one of the eye-catchers at the fair. We received a lot of praise for the new type of presentation for our components. But our SPM-Space Puzzle Molding-Tool was also, once again, a real head turner and generated lots of conversation.
The next trade fair assignment will be in October at the FAKUMA in Friedrichshafen and at the eCarTec in Munich. Stop by. We are looking forward to seeing you!
Get detailed information on the combined Rapid Tooling- and Rapid Manufacturing methods where high quality aluminium molding tools are used for the injection molding procedure in order to produce series identical components from the original material.

protoform puts a sparkle in children´s eyes
Just like last year, instead of giving Christmas presents to their customers, protoform made a donation to a social, non-profit organisation in Fürth. On 9 Dec. 2008 Mr. Peter K. Hofmann, Managing Director at protoform, handed over a donation check to Hanne Wiest, the head of the Pfisterkiste an after-school care center and her representative, Marion Wenkheimer.

"We can really use this donation," said Hanne Wiest. "Since we mostly care for children with a migration background we will invest part of the money in much-needed language games. The rest will flow into recreational activities." In the Pfisterkiste four educationists and two housekeepers take care of up to 50 students of seven nationalities every day. A specific feature of the Pfisterkiste concept is the thorough homework supervision. But also cooking, recreational activities, educational tasks, social pedagogic activities, and much more rank among the extensive tasks of the dedicated educators.
"This year once again we deliberately searched for a project for our Christmas donation that would help needy persons in the region and above all the children" said Peter Hofmann. "I am very happy that this year we are able to make an integrative contribution and lastingly help the children in the Pfisterkiste." Next year protoform will also do without Christmas gifts for customers and donate the money to a charitable cause.

Slovakian developers order pre-series plug from protoform
In these days over ever shorter innovation cycles, the developers at BSH (Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances Ltd.) are profiting from the fact that with SPM processing the first components can be manufactured in series-production quality right from the start. In the BSH Michalovce plant the pre-series plugs undergo material tests and are also built into the engine test bench for testing. "The components from protoform help us reach a close to series development status at an early stage", says Joachim Seubert, group leader for asynchronous motors at BSH.
protoform is certified according to ISO 9001:2008.
